Gilbert Christian volleyball still chasing Valley Christian

When the Lady Knights first met Valley Christian on September 7 on the Trojans' home court, the Lady Knights took the match 3-2. However, in their second matchup for the season on October 26 on the Knights' home court, despite phenomenal play by GCHS, the Lady Trojans were able to take that one 3-1.
These two teams are formidable rivals with quite a few talented young women on fire for the sport. Each school packed the stands with their hometown fans. The atmosphere was electric with enthusiasm and rivalry.
We saw the Lady Knights came together and exhibit resilience even though things did not always go the way they planned with each set. Watching these young ladies play the sport they are passionate for with grace and dignity was both fun and rewarding for all.
The Lady Knights' current record is 6-3 in the region; #3 standing; and 10-3 in the conference. They are ranked #7 with an overall record of 12-4.
Their next and last game of the regular season is away on October 28 at 6:00PM against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers at in Queen Creek.
