16 teams are taking part in the Aztec Classic this week taking place at the Pima West Gymnasium. Bracket play began on Monday morning and the championship of the Silver Division is slated for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and the championship game of the Gold Division is set for Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

Sahuaro (7-0) won the Silver Division of the preseason Dick McConnell Thanksgiving Classic held at Pima and the Cougars got off to a good start Monday afternoon with an 89-32 victory over Benson (3-3) to advance in the bracket to face Mica Mountain (3-4) on Tuesday.

Catalina Foothills (7-2) lost to Salpointe (7-0) in the championship of the Gold Division in November. The Falcons held off Pusch Ridge 52-49 Monday night and the team will face Cibola (6-4) Tuesday night in the semifinal round.
