On January 19, 2022, under Head Coach, Hector Orellana, and assistant coaches, Grace Johnson, Casey Orellana, and Brandon Lindemulder, the Lady Knights, of Gilbert Christian, soccer team beat the Lady Chargers, of Arete Prep, 8 – 0.

The Lady Knights came out strong and fast to take control of the game which they never gave up all the way through to the mercy rule after the twenty minutes hit to end the game.

Caprice Chiuchiolo (FR), playing midgoal, scored with the first goal of the game for the Knights and added two more goals to her personal stats for the night.  Other goals and stats accomplished by the team at this game were Kinley Rhineheimer (FR), forward, one goal, Rachael Purtell (10), midfielder, one goal, Daniella Orellana, (SO), midfielder, three assists, Shaylee Earnheart (SO), midfielder and forward, three goals and one assist, Riley Nelson (SO), midfielder, one assist and Hannah Coyle (SR), goalie, with two saves and one assist.

This game added the fifth win for the team within the 3A Metro East Conference, securing the number three spot out of eight and bringing their 3A ranking data to the number twelve spot.
