Hamilton still has a game to play in its pool in the Marcos de Niza-McClntock Softball Invitational, but the Huskies don't need a win to know they're in the title game come Wednesday.

Hamilton wrapped up the Pool A title on Monday afternoon with wins over Combs and North Canyon. The scores were 18-1 and 14-12, respectively. That improved Hamilton's record to 4-0. The only team that can tie Hamilton for the top spot in Pool A is Poston Butte, but Hamilton owns the tie-breaker with a 12-3 win over Poston Butte earlier in the tourney.

Hamiton must wait until Pool B finishes play Tuesday to know who it will  face in Wedneday's 2 p.m. title game at Marcos de Niza. A three-team battle for first in Pool B is being waged among Gilbert, Desert Mountain and Desert Ridge.

Gilbert (3-1 tournament) faces Desert Ridge (3-1) Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Marcos de Niza. If Gilbert wins, it earns the title-game berth. If Desert Ridge wins, it will also need Desert Mountain (3-1) to lose to Marcos de Niza (0-4) in their noon game Tuesday at Marcos de Niza. A Desert Ridge victory and a Desert Mountain win Tuesday means Desert Mountain would play for the title vs. Hamilton on Wednesday.
