Pusch Ridge improved to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in power-ranking games after coming back from an early deficit to defeat Mountain View Marana 54-34 Monday night at home. Pusch Ridge senior Molly Garnand led all scorers with 31 points.
It was back-and-forth between Garnand and Mountain View sophomore Kayla Carter in the first quarter with Garnand scoring all 10 points for the Lions and Carter the first 11 for the Mountain Lions but a 3-pointer and a bucket from Danielle Barton gave Mountain View a 16-10 margin heading to the second quarter.
Carter scored four quick points to put Mountain View up 20-10 with 7:10 left in the half but Pusch Ridge went on a 19-2 run to take a 29-22 lead. Pusch Ridge led 41-27 after three and the team built its largest lead at 54-32 before closing out the 54-34 victory.
