Tennis is the first of six spring sports to commence state tournament action for 2011-2012 with singles and doubles competition in Divisions I, II and III on Friday April 20 and Saturday April 21 at sites around the Valley.

Paseo Racquet Club in Glendale, Indian School Park in Scottsdale, Scottsdale Ranch Park, Phoenix Tennis Center and Gene Autry Tennis Center in Mesa are the host sites. Seeding for each tourney will be posted later this week.

Here is a breakdown of sites and times for this week's first- through third-round matches, which take place on Friday and Saturday.

DIVISION I: Boys -- Friday at Indian School Park, singles 10:30 a.m.; doubles 1:30 p.m.; Saturday Paseo Racquet Club, singles and doubles at 12:30 p.m. Girls -- Friday at Gene Autry Tennis Center, singles at 10:30 a.m. and doubles at 1:30 p.m.; Saturday Paseo Racquet Club, singles and doubles at 11 a.m.

DIVISION II: Boys -- Friday at  Scottsdale Ranch Park, singles 10:30 a.m; doubles 1:30 p.m.; Saturday Scottsdale Ranch Park, singles and doubles 1 p.m.; Girls -- Phoenix Tennis Center, singles 10:30 a.m. and doubles 1:30 p.m.; Saturday Scottsdale Ranch Park, singles and doubles at 11:30 a.m.

DIVISION III: Boys -- Friday at Paseo Racquet Center, singles 11:30 a.m.; doubles 12:30 p.m.; Saturday at Paseo Racquet Center, singles and doubles at 3:30 p.m.; Girls -- Friday at Paseo Racquet Center, singles 8:30 a.m.; doubles 10 a.m.; Saturday Paseo Racquet Center, singles and doubles at 2 p.m.

All the tournaments resume on Friday April 27 with quarterfinals and conclude Saturday April 28 with semifinals and championship matches.
