Salpointe beat Marana 5-0 on the road Monday to improve to 3-0 on the year with former Salpointe indoor and beach standout Jalynn Ransom starting her career as the new head coach of the Lancers. Ransom replaces Heather Moore-Martin, who led the Lancers to the last four Division II state championships.

Four athletes return for the Lancers and the team also has three freshmen in the rotation. Marana dropped to 1-2 on the year under Steve Davis. Led by senior Brynlee McGee, the Tigers return five players from last year.
