No. 3 Bradshaw Mountain sets stage for showdown against No. 13 Coconino for region title after 56-20 win over Buckeye Union

PRESCOTT VALLEY — Michael Sanford completed 9 of 18 passes for 118 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 3-ranked Bradshaw Mountain past Buckeye Union 56-20 on Friday night.

The Bears (6-2, 4-0 4A Grand Canyon) scored 35 unanswered points in the second quarter, and have now won five straight since their 16-13 loss to No. 1-ranked Snowflake back in Week 3.

Kylin Jackson had 27 carries for 239 yards and three touchdowns for Bradshaw Mountain, which has two road games to wrap up the 2025 regular season, the first against region rival Coconino (5-3, 4-0 4A Grand Canyon) on Oct. 24.

The Bears wrap up against cross-town rival Prescott in Week 10.

Both games slated for 7 p.m. kickoff.

NO. 1 SNOWFLAKE 26, NO. 10 EASTMARK 6

MESA — Brenner Green carried the ball 22 times for 210 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 1-ranked Snowflake past No. 10 Eastmark 26-6 on Friday night.

The Lobos (8-0, 3-0 4A Desert Sky) won the game despite two interceptions by Jacob LaDuke and six total fumbles, none of which were lost.

Eastmark has lost two of their last three games as they continue to fall in the 4A conference rankings.

Snowflake now has two remaining regular season games, both at home, against Mesquite (Oct. 24) and Arcadia (Oct. 31). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

NO. 13 COCONINO 28, NO. 16 LEE WILLIAMS 12

KINGMAN — Jake Hanley and Dylan Callado each had a touchdown, Jace Passalacqua tossed a score, and No. 13-ranked Coconino scored all their points in the second half to stay perfect in the 4A Grand Canyon region with a 28-12 victory over Lee Williams on Friday night.

Passalacqua completed 10 of 14 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown throw, while seven different players had a rushing attempt for the Panthers (5-3, 4-0 4A Grand Canyon), which racked up 152 yards on the ground in the win.

The win sets up a showdown between No. 3-ranked Bradshaw Mountain as they travel to Flagstaff to face No. 13 Coconino for the Grand Cayon region title on Friday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

3A FOOTBALL

NO. 12 PAGE 45, WINSLOW 6

PAGE — Joseph Benally completed 9 of 14 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 106 yards and two more scores to lead No. 12-ranked Page past Winslow 45-6 on Friday night.

It is the fifth straight win for the Sand Devils (6-2, 4-0 3A North), which scored 35 unanswered points in the first half for the victory.

Up next, Page hosts No. 16 Chinle, which is undefeated in region and has won six games this season. Kickoff on Thursday, Oct. 23, is set for 6 p.m.

NO. 2 ROUND VALLEY 56, SAN TAN FOOTHILLS 19

QUEEN CREEK — The No. 2-ranked Elks scored 30 unanswered points in the first quarter to win their third straight contest with a 56-19 win over San Tan Foothills on Friday night.

Round Valley (7-1, 2-1 3A Mountain) is in the middle of a dogfight for the Mountain region crown with Payson (3-1) and Show Low (3-1) all trading blows this season.

The Elks face Apache Junction (Oct. 24) and ALA-Mesa North (Oct. 31) to wrap up the 2025 regular season, which are a combined 3-13 (1-6 in 3A Mountain play). Show Low and Payson lock horns in the season finale Oct. 31.

2A FOOTBALL

NO. 1 SCOTTSDALE CHRISTIAN 49, NO. 5 CAMP VERDE 14

SCOTTSDALE — Quarterback Sean Helgeson completed 14 of 20 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns, Everett Salazar had two scores and No. 1-ranked Scottsdale Christian beat No. 5 Camp Verde 49-14 on Friday night.

The 2A defending state champion Eagles (9-0, 5-0 2A Metro 3) have scored at least 41 points or more in eight of their nine games this season.

Everett Salazar had 16 carries for 93 yards and two scores against Camp Verde (7-2, 4-1 2A Metro 3), which now heads to Parker in the 2A Region Crossover Game matchup Friday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

1A FOOTBALL

NO. 2 BAGDAD 32, NO. 3 ST. DAVID 14

BAGDAD — The No. 2-ranked Sultans secured a victory in their final tuneup of the 2025 regular season with a 32-14 victory over No. 3-ranked St. David on Friday night.

The Sultans (8-0, 3-0 1A West) now await the winner of the No. 7 Ray-No. 10 Valley Union matchup as the 1A state playoffs get underway Friday, Oct. 24.

Bagdad as the No. 2 seed will host the winner of the Ray-Valley Union game Oct. 31, and potentially see No. 3-seeded St. David in the semifinals on either Nov. 7 or 8. Watch AzPreps365.com for scores and a full state playoff bracket.
