Mica Mountain senior Tyla Greenwood leads ALA-Gilbert North junior Lexi Golden by one stroke after the first round of the AAI Division II state playoffs taking place at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen. Greenwood shot a birdie on the 18th hole to hold off Golden.

As a team, Chaparral leads the field by 30 strokes heading into the second round on Tuesday. We are guaranteed to have a new team state champion and a new individual champion.
