Allen, who starred at Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, Ariz.) for three varsity seasons, plans to enroll early and begin classes at Texas A&M this month.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prized-recruit threw for 8,201 yards and 86 touchdowns in his storied career, and he is the No. 1-ranked quarterback in the 247Composite.
Allen will face some competition for the starting gig. Matt Joeckel, whose brother Luke was the second overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, and Kenny Hill, who led Southlake Carroll to a state title, should both return to battle for the spot.
Former Aggie quarterback signee Kohl Stewart was selected fourth overall by the Minnesota Twins, and opted to pursue a career in baseball.
