CHUCK SCHMIDT AND AIA TO PART WAYS

PHOENIX, AZ (April 30, 2015) – The Arizona Interscholastic Association and Chuck Schmidt have agreed to part ways at the end of the current fiscal year (June 30, 2015).

Mr. Schmidt will continue to serve in his role as the Associate Executive Director until that time. The agreement to end Mr. Schmidt’s employment with the AIA was a mutual decision that both the AIA and Mr. Schmidt believe will be in the best interests of the AIA, its staff, and Mr. Schmidt.

The AIA is very appreciative for all of the work that Mr. Schmidt has done for the AIA and his dedication to the organization over the past 15 years. Harold Slemmer, Executive Director of the AIA, said, “Chuck has been instrumental over the past 15 years in modernizing AIA operations and leading us into the 21st century.  I am very appreciative of all his efforts.  I know our staff and board will miss him."
