We hope Barrry Sollenberger is somewhere smiling.

It’s difficult to duplicate what he accomplished every year with his preseason football Arizona football magazine, but our team is happy that we can at least continue the football magazine tradition Sollenberger started in 1971.

The 2016 Sollenberger’s AZ Football Prep Magazine edition is out, with rankings, region previews, features and more. This year marks the return of the Sollenberger Football Classic after a one-year hiatus.

So it’s only fitting that the '16 magazine, named of course after the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s late historian, Sollenberger, publish a story Sollenberger wrote saluting a 1966 state champ, Tucson High, in the magazine. Tucson is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this year.

Our Friday nights will soon be filled with high school football action, one of Sollenberger’s favorite pastimes. It’s an honor for the AIA, azpreps365.com and the Kukulski Brothers to help continue publish one of Arizona’s high school football companions, Sollenberger’s magazine.
