FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

Friday, Oct. 28

Tucson (5-4, 2-0) at Yuma Cibola (6-3, 1-0) Southern Region Championship

No. 13 Tucson is probably in the playoffs regardless but No.20 Cibola needs to win this game to get in. If Cibola wins then another team will get bumped from the playoffs.

Canyon del Oro (6-3, 2-1) at Salpointe (7-2, 3-0) Kino Region Championship

No, 12 Canyon del Oro will travel to No. 5 Salpointe. Salpointe is hoping for a top-four super ranking but the Dorados can claim a region title if they win. If CDO beats Salpointe then there could conceivably be a three-way tie between CDO, Salpointe and Catalina Foothills, sending the tiebreaker to conference win percentage (based on the process posted).

CDO would be 7-1 in the 4A Conference, Salpointe would be 5-1 and Catalina Foothills would be 4-2. (Catalina Foothills finishes with a game at home against No. 30 Walden Grove).

Pueblo (6-3, 3-0) at Amphitheater (7-2, 3-0) Gila Region Championship

No. 18 Amphitheater will host No. 21 Pueblo for an-or-nothing game. The winner is in and the loser will be out. That means the other teams in the conference need to shoot for top 15 or higher.
