Friday football storylines; photo slide show

Make room, kids, for a couple of grown ups under the lights of Friday Night Football.

Marcos de Niza football coach Paul Moro, Cactus coach Larry Fetkenhier and their impressive records will share the spotlight with the players Friday, when Marcos de Niza and Cactus square off in Tempe. Moro and Fetkenhier are third and fourth on the state’s career win list with 327 and 316 victories, respectively.

It'll be the first time that the coaches, with 60-plus years of head coaching experience, will be on opposite sidelines in a game.

But that isn’t the only big story line azpreps365.com will follow Friday night.

Pinnacle and its super sophomore quarterback, Spencer Rattler, likely still remember when Chandler welcomed Rattler to varsity football with a 56-10 beat down last year. Well, the two teams hook up again Friday.

Also on the big-game docket are Westview-Brophy Prep, Tempe Prep-Round Valley and Sunrise Mountain-Casa Grande. To catch up with all the scores and listen to interviews and big-game recaps from reporters, tune in from 9:30-11:30 p.m. on 98.7 FM for the Friday Night Football Wrap Up Show.

On azpreps365.com, catch the live stream of the Millennium-Verrado and Notre Dame-Desert Mountain matchups.
